And that M5 is very fast. To the SL55 credit: that M5 also kileld a Diablo 6,0 :p

it would won by a far lot more if it was a Dinan...maybe the driver of the sl55 wasnt trying as hard

Not as attractive as the MB, but what a rocket also, not stock, I think 450 hp. I am not the best recognizing years of vehicles, but what year 55 was that/which engine, the 350 hp vesion or the 493 hp version? Regardless, it beat the Diablo too.

The rest of the story is that the BMW is heavily modified whereas the SL is completely bone stock. Try that stock to stock and see what happens.

Both are great cars. Prolly i go for the SL55 amg...make it go on diet...lose a few pounds...come back and smoke the M5 lol.

I saw a video on the bmwm5 forum which had a stock SL55 vs stock M5 and the SL55 **** on the M5... Now imagine how fast a renntech, brabus, etc.. SL55 would be

Uhmm yeah, lets take a 600HP Supercharged M5 vs a 640 Kleemann SL55K. It'll be an interesting race to watch the Manual, 6-speed, 4000lb M5 take on the Automatic, 5-speed, 4400lb SL55. And just how exactly do you make an SL55 "go on a diet"? I haven't seen a single weight reduction-type package put by ANY of MB's tuners.

Note: M5 in the vids was a Nowack 530HP M5, NOT a 600HP Supercharged variant.
