Cayman Destroyed
I'm bored so I'll share a little race with my best friends new 2011 Cayman.
He's had the car for several months but we've just never had the opportunity to get side by side until a couple days ago on the way back from lunch. He doesn't know squat about MB or AMG's and thinks his car has just got to be faster than my five year old four door barge.
Were heading to his house at the edge of town and catch the last light before a mile long straight with no side streets. He's first at the light and I'm in second place in the other lane behind granny in her Toyota and I just know he's looking to spank me.
When the light changes, he moves out ahead of traffic and has four or five lengths on me before I can get around granny and get on the gas. The instant I get around granny it's on and we're both hard on the gas.
Now, I'm thinking I'll never make up the four or five cars but, to my surprise, I not only reel him in but put four or five cars on him before I back off at 140. He got to 130 before lifting.
Damn I love this car.

Thought those things were a lot faster. Guess not.
Of course, he, "would kill me in the twisties", if we had any in Florida.

People who think a Boxster or Cayman is faster than a 55K are the same ones that think Miatas will eat an AMG. You've changed his life forever. He'll never feel the same next to any 4-dr saloon anymore.
