2 C63's, M3, 335 and an RS4

Hey guys! Been a while since I posted in here. We had a very fun track day on 11-11-11 with a lot of exotics and other fast cars showing up at Big Willow. It was half day road course, half day roll racing. We took vids of some of the runs that took place. Also I threw in my fastest lap of the day which is only 35 thousandths off the record for a stock M3 on this track . If I had a DCT instead of a Manual I would have beat it, but oh well...

2011 C63 vs. 2012 C63:

2012 C63 vs. 335 (highly modified):

My M3 vs B7 RS4 (the guy filming with my camera said he was a photographer and knows what to do, but I kinda doubt it after watching the way he recorded this video...):

And my fastest lap of the day:

Thanks for posting these vids R. Nice seeing you again at the event. And great job again setting that stock M3 lap record! At least for manual trannys.

Nice seeing you too, great times out there! Too bad no beer this time

Not quite a record, I got home and did some research and realised that I was actually 35 thousandths slower than the current track record which was set by Steve Millen:

That C63 p31 vs 335i run looks very close to my runs with Jon. Although arguably I'd venture to say the P31 isn't quite as aggressive as the OE Tune, am I wrong in assuming that?

-edit Just saw the video again, that 335i is fully gutted and lost to a P31 otherwise stock C63? I take that back, weak sauce.

My car is 100% daily driver trim down to the stock rims, seats, and I think I did as well as or better than the 335i in the video.

The 335 in this video is manual, and the driver said he was having problems shifting it as fast as he wanted to. So factor in the driver error and boost lag. I am assuming yours in auto?

Ha, yes I know all about that miserable shift bog. Car hits a proverbial wall on the 3-4 shift. My previous car was a 135i manual. My guess is he's running a piggyback tune if he's bogging. I know many that are running flash tunes and have no such issues.

And yeah, makes more sense now then. I was watching the vid again and saw him hit a brick wall right at 0:16.

If the car doesn't bog and the driver can shift quickly enough, from a highway roll will be right up there with the automatics. Problem is you can't touch the automatics from a consistency standpoint on this platform.

Now that's how you take a friggin race video! People with shaky/dark iPhone vids take notice.

I'm getting so sick of watching races that you can't even make out what car it is.

Awesome vids.

Both C63s have the automatic vs. the wet-disk hybrid transmission?
