First loss...(C350 / Nissan 370Z)
Nissan 370Z. Looked new, but don't really know much about them to know its year.
Anyhow, after going back and forth passing each other we ended up at a traffic light. I had a case of beer in the trunk (no, none consumed) and didn't want to pull out too quickly and have it slam against the back/inside of the trunk. Wasn't even sure if we were going to go or not.
Light turns green and he goes. He took off and I let him have the jump (again, didn't realize we were going to 'go'). After the case hit the back (not too hard) I went. The few car length lead stayed the same for a few seconds and then I cut it in half but then we both let up.
Anyhow, if he had the "plain" version then it could've been anyone's race. But I feel bad that I didn't represent well. Who knows, might see him again on the way home some day.
disclaimer: speeds only got to 60ish and it's a 45 zone, non-residential highway with no onramps/etc...straight away with no hidden spots. I'm not a fan of street racing but where we were we could've only been a menace to ourselves.

According to Edmunds they have nearly same 0-60 (5.6 vs 5.5)...and if he has a manual then chances are the win goes to MB due to auto consistency. But that's on paper...and that's why races are on asphalt not paper...But whatever. Didn't buy a C for speed. I'll take it to Pittsburgh Raceway in a few weeks to find out how it needs to be driven to get the most out of it.

A 370 tried to sneak up on me at a light in Arlington VA to cut me off. My diesel isn't anything special off the line, but if you firmly depress the pedal, from 15-60, it's a rocketship. The 370 absolutely floored it , had no chance and almost hit the median trying to get in behind me when it was too late. I know my car's not a racecar, but this was a nice little win. You could tell by the engine noise he was winding it up. I actually have a dash cam that captured it all, but you can only hear the car behind me and then me saying "holy ****" as I watched him almost kill himself in my rear view mirror.

I took my SL55 there in early June. First time down that track in 20 years and not a lot has changed. They're still painfully slow about getting through the rounds.

I raced a 370z at the 1/4 the other night. It was 2 seater (i think they are all 2 seater) basic model with auto trans. He ran 13.9 - 14.1. I was running 13.8 at the beginning of the night and we did several passes and i ended up running 13.4 which is my best so far. He really thought he was going to have me on the 3rd run but I told him he was a bit optimistic for a first try on a stock ride
Anyways it was quite close but still not enough! I can't imagine against the c350 (no offense) I don't know what you run on the quarter. I was a good night nonetheless ! they do have good top en power though. btw it really sucks to have a little street challenge with a pack a beer in the trunk!

I won't hate on the '12 C350.
I have two C43 AMG's, and the 2012 C350 has the same power figures.
Racing a stock auto 370z is about fair for a 12+ C350. However, many others here are spot on. If you're gonna be running a C350, better just pick on the ricers and non-M non-turbo BMW's. There are very few "fast" cars out there that won't obliterate any non-AMG MB.
