Just smoked a Shelby GT Mustang
Had a 2 or 3 year old Shelby GT marked mustang riding my butt tonight on a 55 mph road with lots of traffic trying to prove some kind of point about his car being faster than mine or something.....
I turned off to go to my home on a 4 lane open road and he followed me closely and then a red light came up....I guess he accomplished his mission and baited me into a race.....unfortunately I took the bait as he high revved his engine...
I shifted to manual when he did that and I can't believe I just smoked him SO SO easily from start to finish, NO contest, ending at about 100 mph in quick fashion when I slowed and turned off....I lit up the tires a bit, but when they caught, I just pulled away with absolutely no issue.....
This heavy *** SL 65 can really scoot more than I thought....I have owned the car for 3 years and never raced anyone, but for some reason this guy was riding too close and too fast trying to prove something and I thought I would put him in his place for some reason....childish, but I admit it was a nice rush......the V-12 really pulls like a train with endless scary power........I'll put it back under wraps and not take the bait next time....but it will be a challenge.......

Not condoning street racing but I understand the need once in a while with no traffic. My brother in-law has CL65 that I drove a couple times, I know what you mean. It is scary at times.

While I hate street racing I hate people like that Mustang owner. There was no reason to ride you or try to prove anything to you.
You shouldn't be surprised you won though. Your car did cost three times as much, has a bigger engine, and four extra cylinders.

lmao, The SL must feel like a rocket after driving the Prius. Although I hate putting my SL to bed all winter long, it feels super quick after a winter of driving my ML. And the only good thing about driving a C class loaner is getting back into something with torque.

I like the technology of the Prius...dependable smooth riding car that takes less than $ 20.00 to fill up and gets 49.3 MPG no matter how hard I push it....
With a Highlander, 911, Prius and 65....the average family mileage per gallon gets near Oblama's goals.....
I am impressed by the stability of the Prius with the 17 inch optional wheels which also make it look better.....mine is white with tan and has been a great car with 20,000 trouble free miles so far.....Japanese cars are so reliable.....
