What is up with these Acura people?

Not much detail to this one. I just had to ask what is up with these CL type-s people. I've had a a lot of them try to get me to race them, but i don't, im not really into street racing & i try to be a safe driver Well, yesterday my wife and i are driving around doing some errands for the house & this one guy was pissing me off, he was on my ***, driving like a maniac, windows down, music blasting & he pulls up next to me at the light. I knew he was going to punch it off the line as soon as the light turned green, so i nudged my gears into first and waited, right when the light turned green he punched it & so did i, man o man did i waste him, i easily got like 5 car lengths on him in seconds. When i saw him way back in my rearview i slowed down because of the upcoming red light, so what does he do? He accelerates with all the might of his honda and cuts me off to get first in line at the light, what an idiot, but he got even more pissed when he looked in his rearview mirror & saw my wife and i laughing at him. The light turned green and he took off again like a mad man, i just went on my merry way. Poor fellow, he really thought that his Type -S was capable of taking on my AMG. They have tried this with me dozens of times, but i never bite. I wonder what the hell is wrong with them. Is it only here, or have any of you encountered this type of situation?

It's not just in your area, i get 350Z, G35, S2k, etc. that do that sort of thing. As a previous owner/driver of a modified Acura CL type-s, its no contest against the C32. Did you by chance notice if it was a MT or AT? The fastest modified CL Type-S is with a custom turbo setup (made in so california) ran a 12.9x in the 1/4.

I never seem to be able to get this knuckleheads to want to race. I'd love to crush a few 350Zs, S2000s, etc.

I've had a few Acura drivers, but the 350Z drivers are *always* wanting to run...

...it's pretty weird, but pretty much every time I end up beside or near one of them, they want to run. I had one guy in a new one with the track package run me at three stoplights in a row one time, each time getting his clock cleaned, until he gave up. He was scowling pretty hard as he drove by.

I also had some guy in his 50's try to run me recently in a CL-S, and I wasted him. My wife was with me, and she was cracking up...however, the CL-S owner was not so happy.

The guy drove a Type S. Probably thought that an AMG badge represented something similar to a Type S badge. Not EVERYBODY knows what AMG's are capable of. Hell I know lots of people who don't even know what AMG is. Maybe he was a ricer, but probably not. Probably couldn't understand/comprehend what happened when a C32 smoked his ***!

Both.

Btw, the skyline, supra story is the stupidest in the world. Modify anything enough and it's fast. Compare stock with stock, modified with modified or not at all.

To the ricers:
The ecotec (pontiac sunfire) engine can be tuned to 1200 HP. Now go suck a lemon.

I dont usually bother with challenging other drivers (the E430 is not exactly a rocket), but just recently I had a TL on my tail as I was merging onto a highway from the onramp. He tried to floor it and pass me just as I was sliding into a gap in traffic in the right lane.
This being a huge pet peeve of mine, I had to punch it. Bye-bye mr. Acura.

test drove a new TL 6-speed and S4 yesterday. The TL is VERY nice for 33,000. The best thing is that it comes standard with almost everything, including 6 disc in dash, sun roof, memory seats, leather. The only thing that i believe is an option is the bluetooth navigation. Very nice vehicle. Knew the Acura saleman, so I kinda ripped it up (poor soul who's buying the car, cause it only had 27 miles on it). you can punch it going 30-35, and the tires would light up fast (around 5000 when the vtech goes). second gear also around 5000, the traction control would start blinking all the way to redline, and this was around 50-60. good low end torque from the 6 cylinder. Great overall value! I would have one if it wasen't FWD!!!!!!!!!!!!!HELLO ACURA

S4 sounds mean! very masculine in tone. not used to an A4 with torque in all ranges. Much easier to move from a stop than the 1.8T manual my friend has. Very quick car. Dealer also had 4 RS6's in stock. I let them know inside that I would be more than happy to race any of them
Nobody bit the bait. Good thing, since i can't get any traction in 2nd gear right now! The car has enough torque to start in 3rd

Was the TL auto or a manual? I think it's a really great car for the price but, it's FWD. Hey, at least it has a limited slip differential.

hey guys,

the new TL seems to be a pretty nice car. but until Acura
introduces a rear driver the handling aspect will never
be ideal. for 33G's it is a steal.

now go suck a lemon
....classic
