We are driving down route 18 south in New Jersey. A mustang pulls up to me at around 70mph. there were two cars driving in front of us. my freind started instigating a race. the guy floors it and goes on the emergency lane while i wait for an open spot. at 70 I opened my baby up by that time he had 3 cars on me. by 110 I had caught up to him by 150 I was about 7 cars ahead of him. we slowed down and raced agian from a 40 mph roll. He pulled on me for about a second and then boom at 75 I pull on him by a car by 120 I see him in my back mirror. later he got off on my exit. he had a exaust intake headers. He was totally amazed.

while this is true, it seems that some MB's do not stop at the governed limit. I know of a few MB's that have gone over the governed limit, stock cars.

May be that "some MB's" you know had bad speedo and thats it. What a liability for MBUSA
would it be if cars with 16" wheels and H rated
tires would just go 150mph.

that may be possible, but they're recent MB's. Even ask members here who have gone OVER the governed limit that are STOCK...the new w203's have the digital readout in the MFD and it clearly displays that it's gone over the speed limiter.

you guys keep talking ****. I don't lie. When my dad got the car we had it in russia, then we moved to america. I don't know if there is a diffrent chip in europe then america I hit 150 and the car doesn't slow down. I also raced my brothers 94' s500 which he bought here and I beat him by a car. before I had the k&n air filter. My car seems more powerful then other S500's. go on the acura-tl forum and ask nostl if I beat him and were even when we raced with nos. and he was in the car with me when we ****ted on the mustang. I'm a benz driver not a ricer. you guys just talk "hot air".

He is not driving w203. So may be w203's have speedo problems.

i was using the w203 as one example. I have seen other MB models go over the governed limit...you going to tell me all MB's have speedo problems?
