So I was driving to work this morning and spotted a 04 BMW X3 on my left side coming up fast (it was a 35 MPH zone) so I decide to cut him off :P He then came up to my right side at the light and gave me a look, I'm like...so? Then the light turn green, I didn’t think he’d try to race me, but the idiot did gun it. :0 So I gunned mine and off I went…. Bye bye little fella.

Now why would he even try, he sits on a 225 hp 6 cylinder..for god sake. I guess he thought he was big and bad with a brand new BMW X3…pleeease. Never try to take out what you don’t know.

Good kill! I saw one the other day, i like the X5 much better, this one seems a little too small.

 

X3's are weird, it's all plastic and rubber. Doesn't feel like German Engineering at it's finest.

 

I also drive a ML430. I raced my friend's X5 3.0 and Lexus GX470 and I just pulled on both trucks. I don't know about the X5 4.6 though.

a 4.4 x5 will beat a 430 no problem i know from experience in friends trucks that have raced.

a x5 4.6 is in ML55 teritory until higher speeds the X5 is right with the mL in the 1/4 however to 100 + the ML pulls away hard

 

are you sure it was an X3 3.0 and not the 2.5 litre because.. your ML 430 dosnt hit the 1/4 in 15.5 and the X3 does your ML 430 does the 1/4 in 16.4 i have seen it at the track...

of course the x5 3.0 will loose to the 430 it is much heavier than the x3..

 

I was gunna say probably a 2.5. That little X3 with the 3.0 should be pretty quick. Do they badge the X3's with the engine size like the X5? Anyone seen the X5 4.8 yet? It replaced the 4.6 this year. No problem against a stock ML55.

 

havent seen a 4.8 X5 around here just some Ac snitz 4.6's.. bmw is all about there gearing although a 4.8 will take a ML55 off the line punched on highway might be a different story...

 

Who cares about x3 3.0 vs 2.5....all I have to say is... ML430 adds another victory!!!! I never thought I would see all these sweet victories for the ML430. Go ML430!!!!!
