S55 vs. Subaru Impreza WRX Sti
Well I pull up to a traffic light in my '03 S55 and see to my left a beautiful blue Subaru with a fantastic hood scoop and massive wing on the back, along with a very attractive coffee can exhaust. I figure it must be a very fast car, so when the light turns, we both accelerate modestly because the two lanes we are in lead to a freeway on ramp that is also two lanes. As we start to get on the freeway and pass the curve in the on ramp, we are still side by side going about 50 mph when he decides to show me how fast he is. He jumps a car length ahead, I take off after him and catch him very quickly, run away from him and keep accelerating because the freeway is empty, by the time I am at 130 mph he is so far back I can barely see him. I slow it down to a sane 80 mph and he finally catches up and goes screaming by. Guess I broke my "ricer fly by" cherry.
Not much of a contest, but I have had the car for two years and he is only about the fourth person I have found willing to run.

Yeh...the "ricer fly by" is priceless, i've always wondered what its purpose is. Its almost as if he's saying "i could have beaten you if you would have just driven slower". Kindof sad actually. And those WRXs are a joke, they're great around an auto-x track, but i would be very embarassed to drive one just because they are so UGLY! UNBEARABLY UGLY! 0-60 runs are great in those things, but as you found out, their top end power is less than adequate.

Who is the dumbass driving this WRX. Why would he try to race anything from a roll???? He should of AWD Launched you at the light, so that way he could of atleast been in the lead longer than 1-2 seconds.

I hate those damn rice rockets. Around here all I've ever raced in the '55 was a CL55 and a SL55 another time. I don't even give rice rocket the pleasure of me looking over at them. By even looking at their car (WRX Sti, etc...), something they really want, they will try to race you. I just pull up to them at a stoplight and flick them off

we have the same car with almost the same amount of miles. Ha ha ha.
i wouldnt take the STi over my car, because i like the luxury of the C, but i would take a Supra over the C. Mmm 98 6 Speed with a nice sized turbo. Talk about king of the highway.

The only thing I don't like about WRXs is that the inside is sooo plain and bland. It is a very boring and cheap interior. Yeah you pay for the motor, but I also need something with more features inside and a somewhat better interior.

Nice kill. I had a race with WRX before, I manage to pull one bumper on him from 10-100km/h in my Pulley 02' C230K; therefore, S55 should easily kill WRXs.

The STI is much faster than a regular WRX. But anyway, why didnt the people that want a supra buy a supra instead of their benz????? I'm sure you could've got one for the price of a newer C class. I bought my car knowing that it will never have 800hp or be the fastest on the road. But it has enough power for me and looks 10 times better than the japs (if you ask me) and has more prestige. You tell a chick you drive a benz and its over.
