ML 270 cdi AMG?
ML 270 CDI AMG. Just wanted to ask if there is such a model as most I
have seen online are ML 55 AMG in the USA.
Also if there is such a model, what is the difference from an ML 270
CDi aside from the Bumpers and Fender flares?
Is the Engine (270CDI), Tranny, or suspension AMG?
Thanks!
Francis
this car just looks like a ML320 with sport package and evolution but...get everything checked out before u buy, otherwise you gonna ger ripped off and spit up hell lota money!
Furthermore, this car has the 17" EVO II wheels, which you can normally not get on a 270 according to the price list, and judging from the headlamp washers it will aso have the Bi-Xenon headlights.
It looks nice, and if the price is right, I don't see why he shouldn't go ahead.

In Europe, the U49 has been an option from the very beginning of the W163's career - irrespective of engine size. And it's only external - nothing special inside to set it apart.
The difference between the ML 270cdi and an ML55?
179HP difference...
The ML55 has 342HP with 376 lb ft of torque
The ML270 has 163hp with 273 lb ft of torque
ML55 will run to 60 in 6.4 secs
while the ML270 will do it in 11.4
sorry ML55 pride here =D
2002 Benz ML270 Diesel AMG, Turbo Diesel CDI 4x4, 12tkms only, Orig. AMG version, Sportronic Matic Plus Minus, Xenon Lights, Glass Sunroof, Dual Aircon, All Power/Leather.
The price of cars here in the Philippines are very expensive. This one would cost around US$45,000. Brand new more than double.

Just out of curiosity: How are the gas/diesel prices in the Philippines?
If the ML really has that few kms, it might be a bargain - again taking into consideration that cars are expensive in the Philippines.

PS: The remark about diesel engines lasting less than gas ones is - sorry to put it rudely - RUBBISH!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Diesels are more efficient for daily driving though - that's why I'm considering one. All my MBs (1978 300D-W123, 1985 300D-W124 and now W202 C220-Diesel) have been diesels and they have all been great!

You sure its worth throwing all that money? Wouldnt it be cheaper to buy in the US and import?
on second thoughts I would be a little wary of a German-origin diesel vehicle from 2001/2002 (it's MY 2002, I suppose) with only 12,000 kms. It's really a ridiculously low kilometrage, especially for Germany and diesels.
But I have to admit they exist - there are 14 ML270CDI's from 2002 with less than 25,000 kms on www.autoscout24.de, one of the most important online search engines for used cars here.

A brand new 2005 E240 here cost US$86,000.00.
I agree, my uncle has a ML500 in HongKong and it cost 2.5x mine, with similar packages. My ML500 cost me 58,000 USD, his is 140,000 HKD...and besides a CDI costs more....if you compare the E320 sedan, and the E320cdi sedan...theres a difference so i guess the 270Cdi is close enufff.....
but I advise you to buy Diesel instead of Gasoline powered...because in asia as I remmebered, diesel is more popular
Slim, how can a ML270 have the same suspension as an ML55? Even ML500, which is the closest cousin to ML55 hasn't got the same suspension.
