Yes, it sounds like a spring compressor and standard tools....

I just want to make sure it is not that bad.

Got eibachs used from someone. I have already lowered the front, very easy to do. Actually, I just changed my right front wheel bearing, which is alittle involved but not too bad. Have to remove the 'spindle' to have the hub and bearing pressed out and then the new ones back in. I was having a loud noise that sounded like tire noise and got very bad turning. I figured it was the wheel bearing and it was as the noise is gone. I lowered the front and didn't have time to tackle the rear yet.

pretty straight forward.. especially if you can change a bearing by yourself. just make sure you have the right kind of spring. your current ones are either round or flat. the new springs have to be the same. to check, just look at the end of the current spring.. the end will be flat or be round like the rest of the spring.

also, please tell me you had the truck off the wheels when you lowered the front end.

Um, not at first, but then I did jack it up to lower the remain portion. I think I went a few turns before lowering, I also had to bring the left side back up a little as I lowered too much.

Any reason why it needs to be off the wheels for lowering the front end?

Thanks for the advice on the springs.

no problem.

i ask, cause if it is on the ground when you lower the front end, the torsion bar is gonna go on you prematurely.
