Arrrrrggggghhh!!!

Every single time we wash the ML, it rains or snows right after. Be it the day after, or several hours after.

Two weeks ago, it was a very nice sunny day (but cold), so my dad decided to wash the ML. A couple of hours later, it rained!

Yesterday, it was warm, but not sunny, and we washed the ML again. And that night, it rained again!

What gives! It's rare nowadays for our ML to be nice and clean for more than a week!

That's like an hour of wasted work!

Thanks for reading.

I am complaining of the same....

Its sort of pretty late for N. Cal to get bad weather, but we are being pounded by rain (and snow in N. Nevada) week after week....and it just seems like its not gonna end soon...the next week, we are looking forward to another active weather system all week...

This week, I finally stopped washing/cleaning the ML's exterior...just fed up of the wasted work...

Quit complaining. In Seattle, you're lucky for it to stay clean for more than a day or two. I still wash it every week, sometimes I even wash it in the rain.

I know how you feel!

I had to laugh when I read your thread cos the same thing happens to me...try living in chicago!

Don't have a garage so ML is always sitting out, right after I wash, detail and wax...never fails it ALWAYS rains or snows!

I figured the only safe time to wash now is in the summer!

38 and snowing lightly on the way home from work today. Few thunderclaps after I got home. Not raining now, but just wait an hour

So, I was thinking about your thread here yesterday and Phoenix is BADLY in need of some rain, so I had our ML320 detailed. I wake up this morning to RAIN! Uncanny, especially considering we had gone 143 days without!

I don't wash the ML much, and after I wash the CLK I put her in the garage so the rain doesn't hurt her.

Garage FTW.

I think I brought some of that rain w/ me from St Louis a few weeks back. I drove the ML to Sacramento and through Utah up from Green River they had the first really bad storm this year. Coming back I wanted to go out on the Salt Flats and they had 3 inches of rain in Winnamucca, NV the night before, it was back to being a salt lake. Through Wyoming and Western Nebraska I was running in front of severe storms. I need to just stay here and keep us flodded. I was up on top of White Mountain on the 4WD road watching the storm from probably 40-50 miles until I realized that "holy s%#* I am up at 8,000ft on a 32 degree grade dirt road that is about to turn to mud in an ML". It was great, dirty, but great.
