Forgive me if I've missed it. Manual mentions Canadian models' running lights but no reference to US. Coming from Volvos, used to driving with lights on, or at least running lights. Any thoughts?![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
03 ML500 w/ xenons

You can ask the dealer to turn on DRLs. Depending on the dealer, you may get charged for it. If you have bi-xenons, I think the manual says it's on at full intensity for DRL mode.

Thx. Nothing in manual. Are there other programmable features either dealer or driver, such as autolock? Any resources for the newbie?

Dealer says no US option for DRLs for my car. 03 ML500 w/ xenons. Any thoughts? Tech said Canadian models have that option, but it might cause conflicts by downloading that software. I've found it's easy enough to leave it in the auto position and just hit the fog light switch. One of a very few good things on my old XC90 was that the DRLs were halogen lamps and in auto mode would light up with front and rear parking lights. They'd shut off when the xenons kicked on. However, just to make it less convenient, and to **** me off, they made it so you could not lock the high beams in auto position. You'd have to switch it to manual on, but then would also have to remember to switch it back, or your xenons would run all the time.
