side mirror problem

side mirror problem
just picked up a 08 ML350 with premium
the side mirrors are folding, but when the door is open they only open half way and dont fully extend out, on both sides.
prior to this happening the tilt down (when put in reverse) was the issue, the mirror would tilt down but not go back up to driving position
what gives? anyone else have this happen.
right now the car is NOT drivable as the mirrors dont fold back out, and im too scared to force them open as that my break them even more.

Firdt off, this is the incorrect forum, you should post on the W164 forum (06 thru 08). Have you tried to fold the mirrors out with the mirror fold/unfold button? I would not try to force them but would have your dealer fix the situation. Could be a software issue

of course i know about that button, but when they try to fold out, they only fold out a bit, not all the way, looks like its going to the dealer

2001 ML320 fully loaded except the damn navigation sytem.
hey mj is that your actual car?? Thats a killer wax job on it if so. Makes me want to get mine waxed.. havent done that since june..
