Finally finished some NEEDED suspension work + lowered

So Saturday I completed the lowering of my ML and capped off a much needed update of my suspension parts. Experiences thus far... in the city if you are not an active bump avoider, the ride isnt fun. On the highway, more then makes up for this... the handling of this is OUTRAGEOUS now. Long sweeping curves no longer need a tap of the brakes; instead rolling in to the throttle shows you really what this thing can do. For a 5k pound SUV, its driving dynamics dont show it. It no longer squats in the rear under take off from a stand still.

What I have done to it now...
Front and rear sway bar bushings
Both front lower ball joints
Bilstien HD shocks
H&R lowering springs
Replaced and greased the torsion bar boots
Adjusted torsion bars to lower front end suspension to match rear

Center of the AMG 18" wheel to the inside of the fender flair is now 17.25" all around. I didnt know how super easy the torsion bar boots were to replace, the creaking all that time was so unneeded. DEF AMAZING now that its been silenced. There was a small Mass get together yesterday so I got to put about 200ish miles on the full set up now and I must say on the highway its really fun. Here are some pics of it on the road, now I need to get it to the body shop because its seen better days

I'm waiting to see some shots of it parked, when I get them, Ill post em up

2000 ML55 AMG Black on Black
Add some 20mm wheels spacers and longer bolts to get a fat stance and your ML would be over the top!

ML
It looks really good. Did you follow the advice that was posted by the one member who really researched this issue? The gap to the fender is so reduced, but doesn't make it look ricey. Any pics? I really suggest you post a write-up, complete with parts and cost. There are a lot of MLers here that would like to do same. Good job.

I took no pictures I guess I can put together a write up... I did speak with another member(mbenzman) heavily via PM...

Using some of his suggestions I was able to increase a little more travel out of the bilstien shocks that are taken away when you lower it... so far with the ML lowered as it is... I have NOT ONCE bottomed out the suspension... and I will believe that I drive my ML harder then 90% of the folks on this board... I do however have some tire rubbing issues that are in the works to be fixed
