00 ML320 radio problem
My battery died the other day when I was trying to start my ML, after I got it jumped, the radio will not power on anymore. When I turn on my headlights at night, the power button lights up with a ambient light. I tried checking the fuses on the passenger side and I found one that was shorted out and replaced it but it still didn't fix the problem. Any ideas greatly appreciated, thanks.

you might have to get the code from the dealer to unlock it. there is a system to prevent someone stealing it. a simple ownership verification will probably get you this code from your local merc dealer.

It doesn't power on for me to even enter the unlock code. I have the code though cause I got locked out of it a few months back. I'm just wondering why it won't even power on anymore.

there is another fuse under the hood, if you look at the cover it will have something that suggest MCS unit, or audio system.....I forget which one, but i think its 40 Something Fuse, I'll have to double check tomorrow morning for you as the car is in the garage and really dark, but pull that out and put it back in, somehow resets it and it should work even though the fuse is not burnt......
Try it out, best of luck.....

The website no longer exists. Lift the cover on your fuse box (drivers side under the hood). There is a diagram under the cover that will indicate where fuse #21 is located. You have to pull a couple clamps forward to release the lid of the fuse box. Good luck.

fuse in back of radio.
I have a 02 ml320 which I pulled the radio the other day. This is the bose system with nav and there is a 15 amp fuse in the back of the unit near the wiring harness. check that.

Fuses 10 and 21 control the radio in a 99 ML. If they are good then you will have to remove the unit and check the fuse at the back of the radio.
