just picked up 03 ml 350 HATE IT!!!!!!!!
i just this new ml 350 i made a huge mistake by getting it!!!!
it's a piece of sh*t it's been back to the dealer twice already and the check engine light is always on. it's slow it handles like a 71 caddy. i don't know what MB is doing with their new cars but they better change it. FAST

my girl friend had a 99ml 320 and i drove it like twice. I thought it was decent so when it came to getting something new i picked the ML 350 thinking it was a good choice. i had some other people's influences. i don't know what came over me. i'm trying to see if the dealer will let me trade it in for something else. it was a rushed move and i regret it I had it for 1 week. my 88 300e is so much nicer then this truck. i have 175k on it and it feels much more solid than this truck.

Uhh, being a Mercedes owner, weren't you aware of the problems of the ML?? I mean, you're kinda equally at fault for making such a rash (thus, dumb...really dumb) purchase. Where have you been on the Mercedes forums??

I had a 98 and now have an 02 ML500. Like them both. The 02 had some initial issues but they were resolved. If you do not like it, sell it and buy what you want. You will only loose maybe 5 grand at this stage but its only money. Re the handling, remember its a truck, not a sports car. You have buyers remorse

I guess it all comes down to expectations.
We've been really, really pleased with our ML. It has adequate power. The only time it felt seriously lacking was going up Raton Pass in Colorado with four people and luggage.

from ML350 to SL600 ????????????????
first you buy an ML350 and then an SL600 ? so you went from 37k USD to a 130k USD car and you like it better ? You went from a truck based SUV to a 2 door convertible sport car ? Are u completely idiot ? Just get real ! If you have a G500 why buy an ML ? You don't make any sense !
get ovet to the rich SL class and do not bore us !

yes thats right i went from a ML to an SL so what? your priceing for the SL is way off in case you hadn't noticed the SL is used i will never buy another brand new mb EVER i payed just under 50k for the 600 it has 47k miles on it. i bought the ML so i really didn't have to drive the G 500 that much I love that truck and want to keep it forever, so for about 300 days a year it sits in the garage. i drive it only so often i like it like that. thanks to all :p

Deja-vou
I am having these dreams lately.
Every forum I go, they all talk about the same over and over.
Either you like the vehicle or not. Before you buy it you do your research, and then test drive a few vehicles, and then you get the MB because is a Mercedes. My goodness, no other car gives you as much "status" as driving a Mercedes, ok, a Ferrari would surpase that, but not many of us can afford a Ferrari, yet, so we settle for the next thing, MB. Not even BMW, Lexus, or similar come closer.
I do not care how my ML drives, I test drove all SUV's on the market back in 2000. Nothing gave me more pleasure than sitting behind a wheel with a three point star.
Don't like the ML, get something else, but please let it be a Mercedes!!
Ok, "some Pete guy", I am still waiting.:o

BETO your so grim and cheap! how you describe a mercedes is so childish. from what your saying it could be a piece of **** as long as it has a 3 pointed star on the hood your happy with it. how many MB'S have you owned? get over it, it's just a car. i love all my MB'S i have owned at least 10 and some of them weren't as well made as others. just because there is a chrome star on the hood doesn't make it great, it takes alot more. if you had more experience you would already know that. it seems all your interested in is a "status" symbol and how the car makes you look to other people. your a sad person.

Who here believes that V12BIGBODY, a 26-year-old member of the military who can't spell, has owned "at least 10" Mercedes-Benz automobiles (that's one per year since he was 16), including a 2003 ML350, a 1999 ML320, a 1999 SL600, a 1996 S600 and a G500 of some vintage? I am not saying it isn't true; I am just wondering if anyone here thinks it might not be true. Just curious.

yes i have owed 10 benz's since i was about 14 yrs old my first benz was an 85 300d it was my dads he gave it to me for my 14th birthday. when i turned 17 i bought the 88 260E ever since those two cars i've been in love with the MB product. after HS i joined the military and now i'm enjoying a very successful life. I owe the S600 to my father when i completed basic training and became an MP he bought it for me. the rest i bought myself ,since most of my time has been spent in germany i bought the G 500 and the SL 600 in germany, and had them shipped to the USA via uncle sam. the 71 250C has been a restoration project for about 7 yrs, now it's done. life is just about choices some peolple choose to get married and buy a house and raise a family other don't. it's all about budgeting. if you can make a monthly payment you can own anything. and since my over head is really zero, and i see a very nice piece of change from the army i can do it. these are just my choices, i'm very happy with them.

1. Show a little of the love you claim to have for Mercedes-Benz products, and
2. Punctuate your sentences.

Why does what some stranger on the internet says about your vehicle irritate you?
Do you truly have that much of your self-worth tied up in what kind of vehicle you drive?
p.s. When did anyone elect you to speak for "us'?

Thanks for bringing me back to earth.
Good points, SPG.
Forgive me, because I am relatively new to these forums. I thought I would find Mercedes-Benz owners and enthusiasts exchanging useful information to one another, but what I have found in the M-Class (W163) forum is a large group of individuals, of whom V12BIGBODY is one, who spring up in many threads with nothing of substance to say. Irritated was not a correct description of my reaction. Disappointed more accurately describes it. I drive Mercedes-Benz vehicles because they are bullet-proof, reliable and luxurious, because they hold their value, and because the local dealer is wonderful to work with. That's it. Most of us have to drive something, so it might as well be something bullet-proof, reliable and luxurious that holds its value. Finally, I inappropriately spoke for others, for which I apologize. That is a job best left to the moderator, who has chided V12BIGBODY before.
