Some switches on armrest console not working
The follwing stopped working today:
driver side front window switch
passenger side rear window switches
back window heater
All on the arm rest center console. Nothign happening at all with them, windows wont go up or down and no motor noise from window switches.
Do they all have something in common such as a fuse?
Anything else you can come up with? Thanks in advance,

Typically, the entire switch assembly needs to be replaced. With all the problems you seem to be experiencing, it looks like the assembly is the culprit. It's around $150 from the stealer and it isn't too difficult to replace. As far as I know, they do not share a common fuse or relay. If I'm not mistaken, quite a few members of this forum have had this unit fail.

is that like the electronic board that the switches are clipped onto?
If this was the problem would the other switches that aren't broken be working ok?
thanks for your reply

I have 3 switches not working properly on my console. BOTH front power windows and the lock switch works when it feels like it.
And, BTW, it's $122 at Mercedes Benz of Fort Lauderdale.

It is a common problem on these things, for that switch assembly to fart out. Not a problem to fix. On the 1999, you have to remove the wood console strip from the front, toward the dash. I remove the rubber mat that sits in the objects cavity and the gear shift frame. Use a plastic blade, like a bondo spreader to get it started so you can work your fingers under it and press back to release it from the 2 plastic lip clips. Once you get the front of it out, you can shift it forward, slightly, and you can unhook it from the armrest tray. Since you don't metion which model year you have, the 2002 and up is a little different. You'll have to remove the ash tray on those.

cmitch is right with the remove/replace procedure, just take your time to avoid breaking any clips when removing the assembly. It took me about 15-20mins. to do the whole job. I can't imagine what the dealer would have wanted! Good Luck!
