When that happened to me, it switched langauge (low battery).

The only time I have seen it go to L/km is when you get low on DTE, around 50 miles (can't remember), it goes to ----, but if you switch to German it still reads out in L/km remaining.

I should have said "USA", not "English" when setting the country programming. I have never seen km when set to USA.

Jerry

DTE = Distance To Empty.

I don't drive the car every day. I will check tonight. But when you hit one of the two buttons (I believe function), it goes through a range of countries (at least my original and replacement one does). One button is for function and one is to reset. I think when you go through the functions, it ends at off, and then the first one to start the cyle again is country (in our case, U.S. or USA). If you hit reset with the country showing, it should go to the next country.

But as I am doing it from memory on how to reset the country, I will try to post for you tonight when I have the car available.

Regards,
Jerry

OK, I just checked. Two buttons, right side is "mode", left side is "reset". Each time you hit the mode button it cycles through each function, such as direction, instant fuel economy, long term fuel economy, etc. The very last function before it goes to off is the country. Mine says USA.

When you get to the last function before off, that is the one you want. If the computer shuts off, you have gone one function too far.

Mine says USA as the last function before shutting off, which is what you want to see. If it says anything else, you need to reset that function by hitting "reset" as it cyles through the countries. There are about 6 or so. When you get to USA, STOP! That should put all the readings in the English form you are used to.
Regards,
Jerry
