2000 ML 55 AMG shutts off while driving!
Hi Guys,
my ml55 started shutting off while driving then i have to wait about 15 min before it will start again? well im not sure if its my fuel filter or crank sensor? Anyone? please advise? thanks

does anyone know where the cps and fuel filter is located in the ml55?

Mate it sound like the crank angle sensor not an expensive part & will fix the problem
other than that I would say check your fuel. Did it stop while you were breaking? does it start after it sits for awhile then stall?

I have a 2000 55 also and it stalled just once. I waited two minutes, drove home, and had the sensor out that very night. I got one from EBAY and it took about two days to arrive. Getting the small bolt started is very hard on install. I used a three foot extension and got it from the brake booster. If you put rags on the firewall insulation it will save your hands too. Pain in the (_G*(*&T to get at though.
