headlight changes colors

For pass couple of nights my 00 ML55 passenger side headlight is changing to different color.. Purplish one night then it is blueish the next. Is my bulb going or the ballast?

No,your bulb is not going.
There is no power going to the light assemblies when you have your keys in the off position, when you have your lights off, and you are not modifying the connector's wiring.. so it is pretty safe.
Just take note and be careful pulling the decorative molding on the front/bottom of the headlights.. It is easy to break or lose something if you are not careful..

Bad advice. He says that when its on it changes color has nothing to do with the key position or the wiring. There is no need to pull the molding. Believe that you have not a clue and this is not the first time. Perhaps your reading is deficient.

I dont think it could be any easier to change these bulbs, lol...

that is the only PITA part but I can do a full bulb swap in about 10 minutes, luckily you dont have to do it so often
