Does anyone know that a 2000 amg ML-55 instrument cluster can be installed into a 1999 ml430?

Yes..........
it can......but you will need to re-calibrate the speedo....l looked into doing this, but the speedo was to expensive for me....

Re-Calibrate? So this thing has to be done by the dealer? And do u know about the mileage of the replacement cluster can be fixed to match the old one?

The install.............
is quite easy............To replace the speedo is a ten minute job, the problem is re-setting the new speedo to your present milage, l pretty sure the dealer has to perform this....

So have u actually replace one before, or u know anyone have it done? Well, u know, just don't want to spend that much of money for a cluster and it end up doesn't work.
I did call couple of dealers, the one from house of import said it can't be done, but the one from long beach said yes....

There are a few member's at www.benzworld.org that have replaced thier speedo's to the ML 55 AMG style...l'm sure it can be done......go to that site and ask for Drew...the Benzworld Moderator..he will definetly help you out.......

Hey c-rod,
talked to Drew, he said it fit physically, but strongly against it due to the electronics problem. So I am now thinking whether I should risk it...Anyway, thanks!
