Go for it, I'm thinking about the same thing too just can't pick a brand to go with but please definitely share you first impression on the MagnaFlow with us.

Brabus, Remus, or Supersprint. I would go with Remus, it sounds ridiculous on a V-8 500, my good friend has one on his 2002 ML500, and everytime he starts it up, it makes me pee. It has awesome exhaust notes and it looks dope as hell too.

REMUS!

They don't have an application for ML500 yet. How did your friend get an Remus on his ML500? Customized? it is that loud? I'm using my ML as child carrier and I don't want something that is too extreme.

for the 15th time! get BRABUS! Not too loud, but a definite improvement in sound over stock! Remus is much louder than the brabus exhaust.

I really love to get an Brabus exhaust but $1500 for an exhaust system its just a rip off IMHO. For Loriser its retail for $4300 and I got quoted for $2300. Yikes! If it were less then $1000 in like $800 range then I'll grab one in a heart beat.

Im not getting the whole exhaust system though....just the center resonator. If i were to get a full exhaust, I would have RENNTech build me a custom exhaust. Im just gunna change out the center resonator for now....just wondering if a Y-pipe would make me lose horsepower b/c of the loss of backpressure. IF anything, i will probably go with a magnaflow!!!

Talking Where do you guys purchase these? Also

Does anyone have a photo of what it looks like after the installation.

I'm also thinking of of it, don't know if my wife will approve, maybe I can sneak it in without her noticing it.

Borla

I got my Borla exhaust system for my ML320 when it frist came out in late 98 and I got it at for less than $600 bucks. Overall I liked it because it weights a lot lighter than the stock Carlsonic heavy metal unit. Its a cat-back unit comes with all the pipes, clamps and bolts. Only cutting you'll need is cutting off the stock rear pipe looping the top of the rear axle. Not much sound differences when I first installed it but it grew deeper over the years (maybe carbon buildup?) The muffler is great condition still after 5 years of usage. Just the bolts on the clamps are rusty. Make sure you connect the grounding after the installation ...

Just my 2 cents .

Denis.
