In the year 2004 the new M-Class W164 will be presented. Pictured here is the short wheelbase version.
As German car magazine "AutoBild" further reports in February 2002 the new M-Class under the body will be identical to the GST Grand Sports Tourer W251. Both models will be produced in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA and will have air suspension, all-wheel drive, two different wheelbases and up to three rows of seats. The step by step market introduction is scheduled from March 2004 to 2005, prices ranging between Euro 42.500 and Euro 75.000 (USD 40.000 to 65.000 assumed 1 Euro = USD 0.87).
