New to forum W163 and has few questions.
Hi all,
My 16 years old son just got 2002 ML500 and I have few questions to ask for help.
1) Fuel gauge showed empty even some gas still in the tank. He has filled up the tank, the low empty light went off but the needle still show empty.
He filled up the gas tank every 250 miles base on the mileage on the cluster instrument. I believe that the fuel sender which built in the fuel pump failed that need to be replaced as the whole unit.
How much the total cost to replace the fuel pump at the MB dealer vs Indy shop?
2) There is a message service maintainance showed :" the symbol wrench -730 d".
What kind of service does it need?

I pulled out the fuse#5 while the key is in ignition pos.#2 and put the fuse back. All suddenly the fuel gauge shows full now. I will wait to see when the next fuel filling up if the problem goes away.
