truck lid tail light replacement
any tips on replacing truck lid brake lights on a W 163(2001 ml 430). got pulled over by a po po the other night said my lid lights were out. never did them before.

2002 ML 320 & 2006 ML500
First check to see that fuse #15 is not blown.

If not here are the instructions for bulb replacement.

You could also have a problem with the brake light switch.

Tail lights are functional. its the brake light in the tailgate that's out.

Have you removed the cover to see if the bulb is blown?

If it is blown, the bulb # is 7506.
