BAS/ESP, ETS & Brake warning lights come on

My BAS/ESP, ETS & Brake warning lights come on (all at the same time) when making slightly hard turns or slight hard braking. They come on and it also makes the beeping warning tone for a few seconds then goes off. More prevalent at initial start up when vehicle is cold than later on, though it has come on after fully warm.

Any ideas on what's going on and what I need to look at? It's a 2000 430.
Thanks in advance everyone

if they only come on during turns.
- first guess lateral accelaration sensor.
-second yaw rate sensor.
also check your brake fluid level.
If they also come on not making turns, mi guess is the relay for abs pump.

Its your lateral acceleration sensor..

It is found somewhere under the center console between the two front seats...

they have replaced mine twice so far....it is a known problem...

got it fixed (maybe)

Thank you to "f4i 954" and "mihir_d" for the input. I took the Ml to dealer and told them that it was the lateral acceleration sensor, they gave me the usual runaround where I don't know anything and how they have no respect to online message boards.

Their fix was the Brake Stop Lamp Switch (a $180.00 fix). It did work, for the lights have gone off and beeping has stopped. But during the Bay Areas bad weather yesterday, I did notice the BAP/ESP & ETS on again during parking (no brake light or beeping this time). I shut off the engine and the light problem went out.

I'm sure I'll have to go back and insist on the lateral acceleration sensor replacement...or maybe I just won't mention anything and let the "genius'" figure it out.

Thanks again everyone!!

answer

MB of Pleasanton, but I must say that they were much more up front with the estimates than that of Autobahn in Belmont. They really stuck it to me.

I was just about to post this same exact problem when I saw this post. Although the lights and the beeping sound did come on one time while driving straight, after about 3 seconds of making a left turn. But the rest of the time its all left turns. The dealer quoted me $115 for the part, but warned me that to make sure that this is the problem because there are no returns for electrical parts. Is there a sure fire way to test that this is the problem with our cars? The vehicle in my case is a 99 ML320.
Thanks!

One more thing. Would you guys know if this problem would show up as an OBDII code? Just wondering because Im contemplating on purchasing an OBDII code reader and this could probably be an opportune time to get one, and make sure that this is really the problem before I shell out $115 for this sensor.
Thanks.
