Adjusting washer nozzles??

Hi All

I just bought an ML350 and I'm glad I found this forum. Learnt a lot from here!

Q - how the heck do you adjust the windshield washer nozzles?? Its just spraying too low, esp when I'm driving at high speeds. Its not like the other cars whereby you can adjust it using a pin. Any help out there??

Tx in advance

i don't think you can adjust them? I'm guessing from the high speeds, the wind is pushing the spray back down, so maybe try when you stopped? You can always ask the dealer next time you in, as it is under warranty, so why not have them take a look.

Nothing you can do.

Just another very-unexpected-for-MB design flaw.

I tried it on my 99ML and it sprays fine when your at low speeds or stopped...reaches all the way to the top of the windshield.

When I'm on the highway, it doesn't reach as far up as if i'm stopped, cuz of the wind, so I think it's normal...

thanks guys. you're right - another stupid design flaw! i find the spray keeps hitting the wipers instead of the windshield! i like adjusting it myself as i know exactly how i want it to be. thanks all for the replies.

maybe MLGod will care to comment.

They are adjustable. Just push the nozzle part in and out to adjust them.

Thanks Petmerctech. So all I have to do is to push it in/out rather than the traditional up/down with most vehicles that has the pin nozzles? Will try that once I get home.

Yes, move the inside part of the nozzle in and out to adjust the spray. If i remember correctly, pushing it in directs the spray more onto the windshield and pulling it out directs it more upwards, off the windshield.
