a car that can't do the throttle reset.
UncAl, i only use the Eibach's and i love them...plus they are a 1.4" drop as opposed to h&r's 1.25"...not much but something. the eibach's ride very nice, not too rough at all.

OH!!! very important, you have to find out if your factory springs have round or flat ends. they sell both kinds and you need to get the same kind.

Thanks for the response.

At TireRacks web site ...

Click!

they specify round v. flat for H&R, but not for Eibach.

yeah, i dont know why but eibach only offers a round end...but i bet your truck has round springs. the best thing to do is just get under your truck and look...you can see the spring end and determine if it is round or flat. remember look at the END of the spring.

I am a Eibach fan, I feel that they give you a nice drop and although it does give you better handling ride it did not give that real stiff "bouncy" effect that you get from other springs. H&R springs are good too (my friend has a set on his W208) but you can definitely feel the stiffer ride and the noticeable drop is not much different from the Eibach.

Good Luck!

ML55 AMG
Cool

Hi all,
Eibach or HR ?
Either ones are best quality product.
You can't go wrong
My curiosity is.......has any one dropped their ML55 AMG ones w/ Eibach or HR? Did you have to replace the struts? Please reply!!
Thanks

ive dropped my ml55 before with eibach's...i believe the struts were removed, but dont quote me on that. the reason i say so is that the installers had to remove the entire trunk...lining, flooring, wall cavities, spare, etc. it took a pair of pros that only do spring installs a good 5 or 6 hours to do. if real important i can find out for you on monday. let me know.

Heres my current ML55 wheel/suspension setup... 20" wheels, 295/45-20 tires, H&R springs, AMG/KYB shocks, and RENNTech larger rear swaybar!!! Car ride is stiffer then stock, but overall very happy. RENNTech rear swaybar really made a HUGE difference in handling and actually did help prevent bouncing after the truck goes over big bumps. I tow a boat and all with the setup and I am happy. Lowering my ML and then adding the rear swaybar offered my ML55 10 times better handling and a much much more aggressive stance.

Thank you... it is actually the factory AMG bodykit that came with the vehicle. I prefer factory/ AMG bodykits because parts would be easier to get if anything were to happen to it. Plus, I think the AMG kit looks best on the ML compared to all other kits out there. Actually, if you or anybody you know is interested, I am currently selling my ML to make room for my next project car. Give me an email if you are interested, I am selling it for a great price... email me at honson_L@bellsouth.net
