a car that can't do the throttle reset.
resonator removal

any negatives? i cant think of anything... there are no sensors there right? thanks, just trying to achieve a deeper tone.

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
the change in backpressure will be minimal and it might hurt low end SLIGHTLY, but help high end.

im just worried about tripping lights.

I had the resonator remove at the time the Brabus exhaust was installed on the ML...yes, deeper tone & no worries with warning lights.

i have the brabus exhaust on my ml also... so lose the resonator...thanks.

a friend tried to tell me that without a resonator that i will fail inspection... but i dont think so... anyone?

I've yet to get mine smog tho... but I don't believe there will be any issues.

In California it's within the first 4 year you're require to do the SMOG. Not after. If your lucky enough like me, you'll need to do it at the 1st year. But then you'll be off the hook for the rest of the 3 years for all you crazy mods.

The only reason the resonator was ever installed in the first place was because they wanted a different sound. Autogunner.
