I'm sure this has been asked about a thousand times but... I have a 2001 ML320. It came with the MCS and CD changer in the rear. But no "in-dash" unit behind the MCS screen. So I found the unit for 350 bucks..!!!! at Clair Parts... but was curious about the install..?? Do I need any GPS signal setup from a dealer, or is that just the newer DVD system. It seems like it could be a simple snap in jobber...?

Also is there a notorious oil leak thing with the ML's that I'm not aware of... I'm pretty sure I have a small oil leak.

It should be a snap-in for an '01 ML. Dealer reprogramming is required for '02-onwards.

Send me an e-mail address that can handle a large file size and I will send it to you. It's pretty easy but you need an antenna splitter and two special antenna cables that all go under the front passenger seat for a NAV install ... you didn't state if this was just a CD player or a CD Nav ... anyway the bulletin is for both.
