The knob from the center console on my 1999 ML430 got popped off and lost so I’m looking for a replacement? So far all I can find is the whole center assembly with all the window switches,... Anyone know where I can just get that plastic knob from so I don’t have to pay $200 to replace it? Does it have its own part number?

No it doesn't. It's in the truck somewhere, find it.

 

Thanks but it has been gone a long time and almost certainly no longer in the truck. I've dug around everywhere but no sign of it. Pretty sure it got knocked off and then kicked out of the vehicle from the front footwell.

 

Buy a cheap one on ebay, but just use the cap. All these switches are junk.

Ahhhh, much better. $30 is way better than $200. And based on buying these little MB piece parts if I *could* buy just the knob by itself it would probably be $30.

Wow, thanks. I couldn't find an easy want to attach the file in a PM so did it here instead. I am just in need of the knob in the center that I drew a red arrow to in the image.
