What oil for 99 ML430
HI,
What is the best oil for a 99 ML430? We live in the Dallas TX area and temps range from slightly below freezing in Winter (very occasionaly) to 100 - 110 F in Summer.

I tried various searches on the net and either found nothing clear or something that went into tech specs about the oil that I don't understand.

I'd prefer to stick with MB's recommendations.

At the dealer, we use Mobil 1 0W-40 Synthetic.

Is Mobil 1 0W40 available in stores?? Also, what filter is good?

yes it is...get the filter from mb dealer or i believe performanceproducts.com may carry it.

Which stores carry the mb recommended 0W40? I have been told that weight is unique to dealers. In a pinch a 5W30 or 40 works fine too.
