ML55 Brake Caliper swap to ML500 (on some versions) ?
Hi Guys,
Need a confirmation as I'm snatching up a bnin set of amg calipers at an estate sale. A family friend is the executor and knows I like to pickup spare parts here and there.
They are ML55 amg red calipers still in the mb box (a bit tattered). He will throw them in with the antique stuff I've paid for.
Post # 4 in this older thread says some ML500s (early 500s) have the larger front 345mm rotors (which our 02 does) that were standard on the ML55s.
Does this also confirm that the ML500s that have the larger 345mm rotors also use the same size calipers that are mounted on the ML55s?
I would imagine so just based on deduction. A straight swap and same brake pads too, I would deduce?
If not, I can always sell them.

khomer, isn't it about time you let us know what year ML500 you have? Please UPDATE YOUR PROFILE in USER CP TO INCLUDE THE YEAR AND WHERE YOU LIVE.
Then let us us know what year is the donor ML55 is.

Khomer,ML500 didn't exist pre 2002. Any ML500 caliper & ML55 caliper are interchangeable. You might find an ML55 with upgraded Brembo calipers, but they will still fit on the 500
