Looking into purchasing an '02 ML...Got a question regarding fender flares...
I'm looking into getting a 2002 ML320 and am very set on getting the flares on it. Is this something that I should set as a prerequisite or can I have the dealer install them on a car without flares?
I'm not sure what exactly is necessary for the flares installation; are different bumpers necessary? Are the sport package bumpers necessary?
Also, I'd like to get to get the rear roof wing (w/o brake light) installed as well. Could you guys give me some insight as to what a good deal would be for the flares and spoiler? I plan on bargaining these accessories in with the price of the car. Of course, I'll be looking at a Starmarked '02 model year.
I'm still not too familiar with the prices of these things as I've been a Bimmer owner for years and this would be my first flirtation with the "other side" -- M-BENZ.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks!

I'm assuming you're referring to the Sports Package (AMG) fender flares (as pictured on this ML55 below), not the regular MB fender flares.
The flares are dealer-installed - as far as the bumper, for the AMG flares, you don't need the AMG bumper, but it may look a bit strange without it due to the size of the flares (the rear ones in particular)...

In truth to the matter there is no differance in the sport or the ML55 front bumper and the only differance in the rear bumper is on the ML55 it has two openings to allow for the dual exhaust, and the flares or fender extentions on both vehicles are the same. Autogunner.
