Question ABS Pump Electrical Connector

Hey everyone!

Would not know if anyone here might have the answer to this one but...... I am in the process of removing an old ABS pump that malfunctioned. Problem is I for the life of me cannot figure out how to pull the electrical connector connected to the unit off. Anyone have any tips. I have a 98' ML320. I can share a diagram that is of the general location. It appears to be an assembly that you can pull up along some rails but it does not move any further than that point.....

This is an almost identical unit to my own that seems to have had someone just snip the associated wiring.

Any help would be awesome!

Thanks you all!

Grab all of the wires and squeeze them together and take a photo of the arrow side.

What is the problem you are having that you think you need to replace it?

I have attached the pictures in the thread. However, the main reason I am changing the unit is because there is a leak coming from the two closed ports on the bottom of the metal block itself. I have checked the motor gasket as well as the lines leading to it but the unit but they are perfectly dry.

Underside of the plug connector w/ the cables pulled back

This is about as far as the electrical plug will slide up. Despite where the guide rails appear to lead to.

These are the ports that are leaking on my current unit. This was a replacement unit that has the exact part number as the one currently mounted on my vehicle.

An overview of the unit

Hey Major!

Here is one that more clearly focuses on that area! Would this work? Thanks again!

Mike, I can't figure it out but the #4 procedure says to release the bayonet lock which they do not point to any location.
