2004 ML350 with Bose System

I've got the Bass settings on my system turned all the way up to 10 and I'm still not getting a lot of bass out of the system. I was in a 2000 ML that had much better bass response with the setting at 2. Did they make changes in the current models to lower the bass response or is something possibly wrong with the MCS headunit or subwoofer?

Can you feel your subwoofer working? It is under the drivers seat. Autogunner.

Yeah - I can feel air coming out of it - but it doesn't seem to be doing much to effect the sound.

It is not working then, you should really be able to feel it. Some radio's you can turn the subwoofer on and off, make sure yours is on. Autogunner.

I think it's off. In my '03 ML350 the bose sub can rip your shoes off.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to have another conversation with my service rep who says 'it sounds great to him'.

this is what i'd do, get rid of the subwoofer below the passenger seat, put a twelve or two in the back, and you're set
