what urban mpg from your ml350 ?

2002 Mercedes Benz ML320
I dont have an ML350, but i have an ML320 with a tornado, i get around 17mpg, and 20 on the highway, before the tornado, it was 14mpg in town and 18mpg on highway. so dont trash talk the tornado.

another ML320 here, i get 18mpg on avg. with a combination of city/hwy and moderate use of the A/C. I calculate my mileage the old fashion way by fueling up and dividing mileage by gallons used. Its funny you mention the tornado, my neighbor owns that company and swears by- of course!

awesome, ive installed it in a couple cars and noticed differences.... now i dont hardly notice much performance difference, the tornado is mainly a fuel saving device, not much of a horse power increaser, but it can do that..... umm, i have 2 other people that drive this car alot of the time as well, one is mega conservitive, the other is 50/50, im usually hard/medium on it, sometimes when i just feel like taking it easy i'll go easy, but its usually 1st and 2nd gear are the ones that eats most of the gas,

Is that Accurate when you Calculate Mileage by Fueling up and then Dividing ? How are you gonna know if there is any Gas left over :-)
I did this before and dont know whether this is right or wrong
Fill it up --> Reset Tripmeter to 0 --> drive for say 50 miles then fill it up again and see how much you filled up --> like say your Tank let you fill up say 3.25 gallons or something second time --> then your mileage is somewhere around 15miles\gallon.

Your method if fine, but keep in mind that 50 miles is a very small sample. Better to fill up at a local station..note the pump number...reset counter..drive till tank nearly depleted..go back to same station, same pump and fill up. Divide miles driven by gallons used...= MPG.
I use this procedure every fill up and have always averaged between 18-19 MPG with my ML430. On trips have gotten as high as 22MPG. Driving habits and speed make a huge difference. I've found the onboard overhead reading to be remarkably accurate.
You have to be careful with the variations in automatic cutoffs at the gas stations. I'm one of those who continues to fill till she can't hold no mo........
