Fog lights integrated to headlight lamps question

Hi guys I have a 2001 ml320, the dealer said the fog light is integrated to it and all I need is to get it activated to use it. I read on some forum that its illegal in some states to do it. Anyone know which states ?

Are you talking about the fog lights that are in the front bumper, below the headlights? Or are you talking about the rear fog lights? If you are talking about eather of these just turn them on with the switch to the left of the radio. If you are talking about older models some Euro models had the fog built into the headlight but I dont think that was a U.S. option, Autogunner.

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
they are only going to be illegal to have activated in some states, dont worry about using them after activation.

Theres a whole on the inside of the headlight covered with rubber. I think that might be where the integrated fog lamps are. Its just right next to where the H1 and H7 bulb cover is. I'm gonna give em a call and see if they can activate it, hope its not illegal here in ny.

The 98-01 models Euro models did have the fog light on the inside corner of the headlamp. The was never an option in the US. You will need to purchse the bulbs and have the dealer active the switch on the dash to use the front foglamps. Do a search to find the specific bulb numbers for the fog lamps.
