what K&N filter do we use?

hey everyone, i just want to know, does anyone here know the code number for a K&N pod filter that i can use to put on my ml320 and also do you feel any power improvement, more fuel consumption and do you get that trademark sucking sound that you get from pod filters ?
Your help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Maxim

I have heard these filters are more trouble than they are worth on a ML.

If I were you I would not do this. From what I understand you will notice no improvenments. If there are any they are not noticable. You can also cause problems with the MAF sensor. Waste of money, asking for trouble!!

I've been using k&n filters on all my cars as long as I can remember. I got mine off from ebay, and as far as I know it would be the same size for the 500 and 320. As for performance on the ML, I don't know if you can significantly notice any at all but, I can tell you honestly it did improve my gas mileage.

Talking about better improving the gas mileage, have you ever heard or tried this?

The problem with the MAF's failing is because when people clean them they do not let the K&N dry before applying the oil to it. When the filter is wet the oil will not stick to the gauze and can find its way to the MAF. If the filter is properly dried it will not do that. No comment on the performance aspect...
