Mods for ML320?

Hey everyone, i was just wanting to know, what would be some good performance modifications for an ML320? see its hard to know what to do because there are barely any people out there who have done mods apart from audio mods and on top of that ive been told K&N filters dont do much to MLs if not make things worse...
plus does anyone know what ML320s do on the 1/4 mile stock and what are the records for ML320s and who holds them... if there are any :? sorry if this sounds stupid, considering our cars are 4wd but its worth a try...
Maxim
P.S. sorry about all the questions lol

Somewhere in the performance forums a bunch of guys ordered the evosport pulleys for 320s. Supposedly had given them better accelleration. Also, since they did a group purchase, they were able to get a 20% discount, you might want to check on it.

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
you dont see to many mods to the 320 cause its not really a mod worthy motor. plus its a benz... if you want to get real performance you need to do internals...i.e. port polish, bore out. bolt on... blowers.

You can put a supercharger on it, and gain about 45HP. Not sure on engine life, but with mild boosting, the one I am aware of is going strong after a year of driving and no issues yet.

Totally agree with APeter and WW with those extensive powerbuilding mods.
It also depends on the additional hp gain you're trying to achieve they could be very costly and if not done correctly, will compromise engine life. If power is really that matter, I think you're better off getting the 500 which will probably offset the cost of mods you'll put in to a 320 just to get close to the power of 500. Well just my opinion.

Theres not gonna be much to mod, the MOST you could get out of it, is a minor engine rebuild, and a supercharger, which is what the SLK32 has (whatever its called) since they're all the same engine.

you consider a blower and engine rebuild minor? than what do you consider major?

and getting a motor bored out from 3.2L to 3.8L is NOT minor.
