Its a miracle...Fuel gauge works!

Either its the cold weather or an act of God.
Yesterday I noticed, while driving, that my fuel gauge was reading the correct amount....not on zero...and no warning light was on!! So today I filled her up at the pump and when I got back in and started her up.....I saw something I haven't seen in a long time....my gas gauge read full!!! Thats right...1/1 full! You heard me correct. I swear I don't think the needle has ever gone up that high since I owned the truck. And it actually stayed that way the whole trip to work this morning. Unbelievable. I'm figuring it must be the new cold weather. It probably won't be long before it craps out again, but for now its nice to have a gas gauge that works!

*bump*

Just for all of you that are keeping track...I guess that would be just me
The gauge isn't working 100%. but better than before. So I will go with the cold weather theory.

Just to let those that lost sleep over it be at peace!!

since my gauge was "reprogramed" it works fine, the only problem I have is that when they changed the sender unit, they did not calibrate the new unit, so my gauge is always showing less that I actually have- Not a bad safety feature!
Back to the cold weather. Since it has been getting cold recently, whenever I start the car in the mornings, I get the high-pitched bird noise from behind the dash. It can last anywhere from 30 seconds upto 20 minutes. Any ideas??

Maybe you have a bird living in your dash and he wakes up when you start your engine!

Module box blower is faulty. Easy fix, I think it might even be cheap.
They squeal, chirp, whine and a bunch of other stuff when they fail.

Hey, thanks for the info. I am still under warranty, so I assume the dealer knows what it is? (They didn't last time!!!). Just out of interest, what does this module do?

Thanks

Nick.

It is under the relay block inside the the black box under the hood. It just keeps the wires, relays, fuses and c/u's cool. Autogunner.
