Looks very good to me--much better than previous spy shots led us to believe. A nice update on the W163. Clean lines, aggressive stance.

 

Nice pics....now i think it looks like a lexus four-wheel drive.

 

How about that yall. It looks even better than that in the other colors, and the front end is cool looking, you cant see it all in them shots. Autogunner.

 

The body appears to be raised due to the test equipment that is mounted under the frame (Note the distance from the top of the wheel to the wheel well? The body also looks high for a standard SUV, any thoughts?

Is it just me or do these new pics just not seem as drastic of a change as we all were expecting.
Damn....I like my ML430 better than those pics.

 

It looks like a natrual evolution. I, for one, was not expecting a drastic change. Look where that got BMW (5-series and 7-series). I generally like it and think it will look better in person. And what is under the skin should be better all the way around--air suspenison option, improved wheel travel and off-road ability, 4-valve engines, 7-speed trannys, etc.

I really like the new LR3 in terms of it's purposeful different design. But for our uses (my wife drives it mostly) the ML is perfect. I've got mine pre-ordered.

 

I went to a private review of the GST and the new 2006 ML. The outside is really starting to look like Kia, and the inside is just really cheap looking. Tons of plastic...

Well, IMO, if anything the GX was influenced by the current ML. Who had that grille shape and badge configuration first? They're similar but by no means is one a copy of the other.

 

Kia Sorento is another example.
