i heard its comming out in 2006 .... i saw some spy pics on a site but in my opinion its kinda ugly undefined

My dealer tells me that they expect to have the first of them in hand early Spring 2005 as an 06 model. I have unofficially have my name on one for Aug delivery subject to my seeing the vehicle.

My dealer says March / April of 2005

When I bought the first ML, I purchased in March of 1998, I had one of the first ones here in Canada.

Around March, First ones will leave out Jan. 1st to go to the dealer. Dont beleive the spy photos, The real deal looks great and the interior is very nice. Autogunner.

Sure that's possible, on Feb. 14, 1997 Mercedes worker David Cardin drove the "Job 1" M-Class off the assembly line in Vance. That M-Class represented the first dealer-ready auto made in Alabama.

Got mine in November '97 and it was in the shop for 16 weeks the first year....that's right 4 months!!!!!

Recent pics--testing.
As others have said, best information is that current '05 will cease production this November, W164 will be introduced at the Detroit show in January, and dealers should be getting them by March or so. Here are a couple of pics taken in Alabama on 10/11, courtesy of agentbubba on "another" board.
