Lets just say the ML wasn't afraid of this so called "Blizzard". Around 5pm on Saturday it was snowing like a b@stard. So Me and the girlfriend decide to take the ML out for a spin....sure not the smartest thing to do, but we were hungry. There's nothing better than being the only idiots on a snowy road and kicking its @ss!

Yup, had to get some milk for my mom and the ML was a warrior out there, it just went along in the snow, some areas untouched by snowplows, but it did amazingly, it reached everyone one of my expectations and went beyond it, I was able to do 40mph in a foot of snow

Same situation here in the west, was cold for 3 weeks, down to -38C a few days, and suddenly went to -8C and snowed like crazy! The Ml never missed a beat.
One thing I have made for mine for those cold days, is a vinyl bra that goes behind the hood, in front of the radiator, not seen on the outside. It blocks the whole thing off, protecting all the vital areas and wiring from cold snow, wind etc. There is a flap sewn through the middle, like a window, that can be rolled up and fastens up with velcro tabs. It's great for travelling, especially if the temp either drops, or warms right up, you just open or close it and it keeps the engine and vehicle from freezing up.

i had to turn off the traction control a few times in the blizzard,,the car dont want to move when more then 1 tire start to spin,, my jeep cherokee is a beast in the snow,rooster tails when i take off,but the mL handles more like a car then a truck in the snow,the truck gets squirlly around turns in the snow,

Blizzard aftermath
I am getting real tired of the foot petal vibrations that come with the anti-lock brakes activating. You can't drive anywhere here without the brake petal chattering every time you slow down or stop. There is so much snow still in the city streets. There is simply nowhere to put the crap so we just push it around.

are those 18"s on your ML? My wife will "need" 
a summer tire/wheel package in the spring and am thinking of the AMG wheels. Not sure if I want to go bigger. Don't want her get bounced around too much and with the crappy roads here don't want them trashed. She won't be as careful as I am with trying to avoid potholes!

Are you refering to my winter wheel or the stock wheels... the stock wheels are an 18x9" 5 spoke AMG wheel. They are standard on the ml55. My winter wheel was a 17x8" multispoke(10?) moda r3(i think) I think I am going to be upgrading to something bigger this spring if your interested in buying them... Ill keep you updated.
