I also think they look ok. BUT, these wheels are one piece, and they are not of the best quality. They are your average cheap wheel from China, with a price tag as if they were made in Europe or Japan. They are very heavy, and you will need new brakes a lot more often. Dont pay more than 250 bucks for each if you do plan to get them.
there is nothing wrong with a wheel being a one-piece design.

How do you find the Jetta TDI? I'm think of getting a Golf 2.0 TDI 4 motion and would like to know what your fuel consumption is like.

Nothing personal, but calling an ML a " True Offroader " is a bit of a stretch don't 'ya think...? Sure, it may handle snowy roads, and some 'dry' trails but "True Offroader" I think not... It's possible the trails you have available are pretty tame and that is effecting your opinion but the trails I can run here in Colorado, USA will eat up and spit out a stock MBZ ML... Don't kid yourself, they are not " Offroaders " ...

yeah I wouldn't take a W164 offroad because it's gone 'soft' compared to the W163, particularly going from ladder frame to monocoque.
I own a diesel W163 series 3 lux and contemplated replacing it with the W164 with the offroad pro-pack and air susp, but decided to stick with the '63, with mods as follows:
- suspension tweaks for more clearance - the F+R double wishbone setup is absolutely fantastic - the best in the business in the world of SUVs! No nead to mess around with those
- ATR tires
- replaced front bumper with a full bull bar (not a nudge bar! argh those things are so useless) with Hella spotlights
- custom laser cut alloy sump and underbody protection plates
- M4 upgrade (kept the full size tyre carrier but replaced the OEM HD springs with somewhat more progressive and even more heavy duty King springs)
- M7 upgrade (incl. 3rd row seats)
- custom long range aux tank (extra 90L of diesel)
- custom dust spoiler
- Kenwood DDX77 series 2 din unit with nav, reverse camera & blue tooth (much better than the clunky COMAND)
- Reece hitch -type tow bar (makes a good recovery point)
- mesh cargo barrier
- ECU reprogram
- refrigerator
Contemplating fitting sway bar disconnectors, but decided against it due to the extra weight and complexity.
At any rate, due to the ladder box frame, the mechanical mods were easily achieved. The aux tank slotted nicely between the rails too.
With these mods I've done quite a lot of offroading in varied weather conditions, and the car has never failed to impress. I see a few of the changes I made to the '63 comprise what a proper offroad pro-pack should be.

Everything is fine except that your ML350 needs a low-down to get the sporty look.

Thank you, not much of a difference in ride quality, but I haven't taken in for a long enough drive yet, to figure out how I feel about the Yokohoma Advan ST's.
I looks a lot better in person than these ****y pictures. It's dificult to get a good image with a broken screen on the digital camera
