Well, I have driven it (ML 500) a few miles since the delivery and I am very pleased. No it does not have the interior quality of my CL600 or S600 but it is solid, smooth, comfortable, quick and drives very well. Very sporty for an SUV and handles very good as well. The only issues I have noted so far are the fm reception is not as good as the other MB's and autos that I have and there is a bit too much road noise from the front suspension. Other than that, I am very impressed.
I had the 20" BBS RS-GT's installed with 265 Pirreli's and the Kleemman lowering module. The BBS only weigh 21lbs each, so I am guessing they weigh less than the stock 18" The ride is great, looks much better and handling is very good.
Overall I am very pleased with the vehicle for the 59,000 MSRP. Well done mbz! Now, will I have issues with mbz quality long term? Only time will tell.

Back seat room is very good, better than my Escalade. Also, very comfortable. 2 adults would be a go, 3 in the back, no. I have a child seat in the back with the arm rest down and another 11 y/o boy. We put the Visulogic DVD players in the headrests and they love it. The kids fit very well. My wife is bummed the inlaws can't ride with us anymore! Cargo space in the rear is ok, not like the Escalade

Yeah well the Escalade has what, 18 extra inches back there?
So two adults, yes; three adults, no? That's about what I figured from the pictures, but it is nice to have hands-on or butts-on input.
How is the comfort level of the back seats?
Did you go with Scorpions on the 20's?
and thanks. and enjoy. And we want to hear more after you've spent more time with it.....
