ML350 slow

i just got a 2007 ML350 with premium 2 and appearance package
and i had a 03 ml320 before this and I hated how the 320 was sooooo slow
and i got the 07 a couple days ago and this is just as slow as the 320
i think it is because i got 60 miles on it but im not sure?
is there a breaking in process
and if so how many miles?

thanks

There is a break-in process, it takes about a few hundred miles, I (sadly) can't remember off the top of my head.

It's instructed in your owners manual (and if I remember right on your windshield as a sticker as well).

Did you test drive the vehicle before? Perhaps you should've shelled out for the ML500 (or is it the ML550 now?)

The ML500 is what, a full two seconds faster 0-60 (8.3 to 6.3?)

Its not going to change so that a difference will be noticed. If he wanted a performance vehicle he should have purchased something else. The ML350 is very adequate in all normal driving situations and is better than many other vehicles. hes probably a teenager driving his parents ML looking for Corvette or maybe Porsche performance.

i have a ml-350 too. it does take time for the hp and torque to establish itself. after that the car is somewhat faster. personally this week my engine will be tuned to 332hp using brabus tunning program. ill post pics later, 0-60 in ?? we will find out.

Why on earth would you spend that much money to make a 6 cyl perform better?? You can buy an 8 for lots less. Be more economical to trade for an 8, have better performance more reliability, better value retention, etc. Guess you just like to toss money away.

dude get out of my thread
why do you judge people
i think a Brabus ML350 is a lot more unique than a ML500, and it would have more HP than a ml500 after the upgrades

First off my name is not Dude. Second this is a public forum and not yours. Third, if you want to be unique grow a second nose on your face!! Third, what you are doing is stupid, a waste of cash, on a 6 cyl engine. If you wished to do something you should have purchased a V8 or AMG ML and then you would have something other than a modified bread and butter car. Its like trying to make a silk purse out of a hogs ear!!

ml3500. Relax it is only a forum. Sosh has a point, just do the numbers and think about what he is saying. Also he is a well known participant on many threads and he is taking time to answer or comment on a question you posted.

In any case, it is your money, spend it like you wish, enjoy life and while you are at it you can put in two engines under the hood for all I care. Then you will have an ML350 V12!!

Ok, now my opinion is that at least on my ML500 the vehicle performs differently on different days because of the learning transmision. My wife also drives it and when I take the ML after a few days of her driving it, the response is slower at the beguining.

Some days it feels like a race horse and other like a limo on high heels. Just let the miles go through and let the transmision get used to your driving style. However do not expect V8 performance on the 350.

J

So the ML350 feels slow, after you bought it? Ever heard of a TEST DRIVE?? It's not like the ML350 is a limited edition model that dealers don't stock...

the floormat is usually in front of the accel pedal not behind it,
but i'm glad it drives better, maybe tranny just needed to adapt to your driving

That noise is normal with the 7g transmission.
