Rain-Sensing Wipers

I just picked-up a 2007 ML350 a couple of weeks ago. It has Premium 1 which is supposed to include rain-sensing wipers; it is listed in the sticker.

I was driving during some very light rain and turned on the wipers. I set it to intermittent - then it dawned on me that the wipers should operate based on rain-sensing; but the wiper stalk does not seem to indicate a "rain-sensing" setting?

The wiper instructions in my owners manual do not mention rain-sensing wipers.

Anyone have any info.?

Thanks.

I don't know if things are different on the ML, but there should be a sensor above your rearview mirror that looks like, from the outside, like some multi-colored eyes. That is the rain sensor. If so then the first position away from rest is the automatic/sensing position.

You need to read closer. I have the same owner's manual; and it does mention. See the first column on page 61. The first and second click from off are the rain sensor settings.

On my 06 only the first click is the rain sensor, 2nd and 3rd are constant speeds. Has that changed for 07??
