Slight lift

I already started this in the wrong place
My question is, can one lift an '08 ML320 an inch or so with tires and or rims.
Reaso: I'm in Fire and EMS and some of the roads can be alittle hinky, so I though I'd ask this question (no I don't need a truck, just got rid of one).
If it can't be down safely then I adjust my attempts to reach people/places accordingly, TIA. Herb

With the AirMatic Suspension, you can raise the truck about 3" for better road clearance.

Yes and even higher if you get the off-road package.

Sadly, the Off Road Package is not available in the US.

I really wonder where MBUSA Marketing people have their heads some times. Up in a very dark place, it seems.

Thats so odd, the car is produced there and what are they really afraid of, that this feature will snap some potential G-class buyer? Will it hurt the image of the M-class as a luxury SUV?

you can do it with tires and rims but you will loose low end torque since the tires would be of greater diameter than intended. better to change the suspension I found this but they mostly show 163's but the links may help.

Thanks for the information, I don't have airmatic. I might have to go with the next size tyre, but will think about the lack of response.
Thanks again, Herb

What "Off Road Package" might you be talking about? Got any part #s, Spring #s, Under carrage goodies to talk about?
